THE BASICS

What is medication management?

Managing mental health symptoms can be overwhelming, especially when what you need changes over time.

Prescriptions aren't treated as a stand-alone step here. We build a medication management plan together, reviewing your symptoms, your treatment history, and what you actually want out of treatment, then choosing medications and a monitoring schedule around that.

As things progress, we evaluate how you're responding, what side effects you're getting, and whether the plan still fits. We make adjustments when needed, not only at the next available appointment.

The only clinic of its kind in the region

Rising Psychiatry is the only clinic in Colorado outside Denver offering One-Day TMS, and the only outpatient TMS provider in the mountain region.

THE APPROACH

Getting off medication matters too

Staying on a medication longer than you need can mean side effects, interactions, and mental fatigue. Reducing or stopping safely matters as much as starting.

Pill burden

Several medications, and no one has reviewed whether you still need all of them.

Side effects

What you're taking works, but you're paying for it in ways that aren't worth it.

Still necessary?

A prescription that started years ago and simply never stopped.

We guide you through evidence-based, gradual tapering. The goal is always the lowest effective dose, or no medication at all when TMS or specialized therapy can take its place.

SUITABILITY

Who it can help

A plan, not a refill

You've been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, or a mood disorder, and want a plan rather than a repeat prescription.

Current meds aren't working

Your current medication isn't working, or the side effects aren't worth it.

New to medication

You've never tried medication and want an honest conversation before starting.

Therapy helped, but not enough

Therapy has helped, but hasn't resolved everything.

A provider who adjusts

Your plan gets reviewed and changed as you go, rather than left running because it's easier.

Two people talking in a sunlit room with chairs, a small table, and a large window.

Medication isn't right for everyone.

It isn't always the first step, either - and that's part of what the evaluation is for.

COST

Self-pay pricing

Rising Psychiatry is a cash-pay practice. We don't bill insurance.
